Man Tries to Fight the Law...And Loses

Officers were just investigating reports of a domestic disturbance in Gibson county when the found the source of the disturbance; and he wasn't going down without a fight.
An Owensville man faces charges for allegedly striking a Gibson county deputy.

The Gibson County Sheriff's Office tells us officers were sent to West Warrick Street in Owensville Friday evening to investigate a possible domestic disturbance.

Once on scene, deputies talked with people in the area who described the man that was reportedly being belligerent and fighting with people.

We're told that man is John Vaught II.

When deputies found Vaught, they say he tried to fight an officer.

Vaught was arrested and taken to the Gibson County Jail where he faces charges for battery, intimidation of a police officer and intimidation.
