Marengo Shooting

A man in Crawford county is in jail for allegedly shooting his son.
A Crawford county man is in jail tonight after investigators say he shot his son.

It happened in the White Oak subdivision near Marengo around 2:00 AM.
Officers tell us they found 18-year-old Paul Schmitt with a gunshot wound in his abdomen.
The teen was airlifted to a Louisville trauma center--his condition is unknown.

Officers arrested his father, Floyd "Kenny Lee" Schmitt.
He's currently being held in the Crawford County Jail.

No word yet on why the shooting occured.
