Men Arrested for Crossing Railroad Bridge

Henderson Police arrest five men for walking across the CSX railroad bridge crossing the Ohio River.

Henderson Police arrest five men for walking across the CSX railroad bridge crossing the Ohio River.

Ranging from 18 to 20 years-old, all five are from Boonville.

They are charged with third degree criminal trespass and face a fine.

Henderson Police say several arrests are made every year for people crossing the railroad bridge.

"No one needs to be walking on the railroad tracks whether its crossing the Ohio River, which of course increases the danger because you have no where to go if a train comes along. But even here in town we've had deaths over the years. "

The railroad bridge carries several trains back and forth from Vanderburgh and Henderson counties every day.
