It's a deal to combine two of the last family-owned luxury furniture companies in the industry. After 100 years in the business, Karges Furniture is being acquired by a Michigan-based company.
Karges was founded in Evansville in 1901. The business and unique craftsmanship has been carried through five generations.
Known for its fine, hand-crafted furniture, Karges boasted several celebrity clients over the years like Michael Jackson, Donald Trump, and even Elvis Pressley.
Kindel Furniture is also known for its high-end pieces. It will take over all operations and Karges assets immediately.
