The judge executive issues a burn ban because of what officials describe as "weather conditions that can create an extreme danger of forest fires." That means you can't burn leaves, grass, or crops until county officials give the okay.
More restrictions could be added if conditions don't improve. But for now, county leaders ask everyone to not have any campfires or bonfires. Using a gas or charcoal grill is allowed, but again, that could change.
Anyone caught violating the ban could face a fine or a misdemeanor charge.
