Multi-Purpose Facility at Bosse Now Called Owen Stadium

EVSC School Board Approves the Decision
The multi-purpose facility at Bosse is now called Owen Stadium.  The EVSC School Board approved the decision by a vote of 7-0 Monday Night.  The field still is referred to as Enlow Field, but in conjunction with planned renovations to the venue, the board honors Former Bosse Football Coach Archie Owen.  He was 111-99-13 from 1961-83 in charge of the program.  The EVSC Foundation will seek alternative funding to renovate Owen Stadium to make it look similar to other EVSC Stadiums.  EVSC Vice President
Mike Duckworth says the project will cost several million and the foundation will talk with Bosse Alumni and people in the business community to carry out the renovations.  No timetable has been set to complete the renovations.  The structure with seating on the home sidelines will be a big focus of the renovations, in addition to improvements on the track.
