Museum Announces Free Fridays

For many years, Evansville's museum has only asked visitors for donations when they come to see the exhibits.

In February they started charging admission, but hope a new 'Free Friday Program' will encourage more people to visit the facility.
The third Friday of each month will be free for general admission. It started April 18.

Museum officials say they want to thank the community for all their support when it comes to donations and all the projects they've helped fund over the years.

There's still a charge for shows at the Koch Immersive Theater. They run $5 a show.

The museum will also have extended hours on free Fridays.
