James Lyddane is replacing, retiring, Dr. Vicki Riley as director of elementary education for the Daviess County Public Schools district starting July 1st.
Lyddane has served as principal of Cravens Elementary School since 2011. Before that, he was the digital elementary curriculum developer for the Owensboro Public Schools district, leading the integration of technology in the classroom.
He was also principal of Sutton Elementary School and assistant principal at the Owensboro 5-6 Center.
He is a member of the National Association of School Administrators, National Education Association, Kentucky Association of School Administrators and the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development.
DCPS Superintendent Owens Saylor said, “We are thrilled to welcome an educator of Jimmy Lyddane’s caliber to our instructional leadership team. I am confident Jimmy will continue his legacy of success in the area of student achievement as director of elementary education.”
