The Advanced Automation and Robotics Technology Program is unique in that students will attend classes on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then they will work at a paid part time internship at a local company for two days per week. In 24 months, students can graduate with an AAS degree and have received real world experience that will help them find a good paying job. Ivy Tech is looking for manufacturers, hospitals, or any company needing technicians in our area to join the program and hire an intern. This would give a company 24 months to watch an intern and see if they want to offer them full time employment upon graduation. By managing their finances wisely, students can graduate with no student loan debt.
The Evansville Ivy Tech campus has received a grant to provide scholarships to 30 students that enter the Advanced Automation and Robotics Technology. This scholarship will pay 50% of their tuition, books, and fees. There are no grade point requirements for this scholarship.
