The Mayor of New Orleans is vowing to make arrests in a Bourbon street shooting that left 10 people injured Sunday.
Police say 2 men opened fire on each other early Sunday morning on Bourbon Street in New Orleans.
10 people were hurt. All of them were innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire.
Surveillance video captured by earthcam.net, shows the chaos as gunfire erupted.
Police say 2 men got in a dispute and that's when they pulled out their guns and started shooting at one another. What witnesses say happened next is even more terrifying. They say he seemed mad at some guy, pulled the gun out, started shooting the guy, and then turn around and started shooting at the crowd.
Bystanders jumped into action, and rendered aid to the victims before help arrived.
At a news conference Tuesday, Mayor Mitch Landrieu called the violence "senseless" and apologized to the victims.
He claimed he will work around the clock to bring those responsible to justice. He also said the crimes will not go unanswered.
The mayor visited some of the victims in the hospital Monday.
Authorities believe the shooting stemmed from a fight between at least 2 young men.
In the wake of the incident, Landrieu is calling for additional resources from the State of Louisiana and the Feds to help combat violence in the city.
