New Sign-In System Coming to EVSC Schools

Officials say the new sign-in system will improve school safety and speed up the sign-in process.
EVSC students head back to school Monday in Evansville, but if you visit one of the corporation's schools, you'll likely notice a change when you sign-in.

The EVSC is rolling out a new visitor sign in system called 'Raptor.' The new system will scan a person's driver's license and check a couple of databases --including the sex offender registry.

Officials say 'Raptor' will increase school safety while speeding up the sign-in process. The 'Raptor' system won't be fully implemented by Monday - officials say visitors will still have to sign-in as well as provide a driver's license.
