Newburgh Man Arrested for Allegedly Embezzling More than $114,000

A Newburgh man is under arrest for allegedly embezzling a large amount of money from a Tristate business.
A Newburgh man is under arrest for allegedly embezzling a large amount of money from a Tristate business.

38 year-old Joshua Kenworthy was arrested for forgery and theft. ISP say he embezzled over $114,000 from Fibertech, a company in Warrick County.

Police say the investigation began in February after someone at Fibertech claimed Kenworthy, a former employee, had allegedly sold plastic from Fibertech to other companies for his own benefit. According to police, the investigation showed that Kenworthy had been selling plastic to other companies.

Police also say he deposited the money into a personal business account. Between January 2013 and February 2014, Kenworthy allegedly took control of Fibertech property and deposited over $114,000 into his personal account.

Kenworth is facing felony charges for theft and forgery. He is being held on $5,000 bond in the Warrick County Jail.
