The pastor who led opposition against a McLean County High School English assignment says he will not protest at the school.

Daystar Worship Center Pastor Don Neal says he had a "productive" talk with the school's principal.

Earlier this week, there was disagreement over an English assignment in which students were asked to use vivid imagery to write about someone they consider a hero.

Principal Ashley Troutman says the teacher politely dissuaded students from writing about Jesus Chris because of the descriptive nature of the essay.

Neal says they "agreed to disagree on some points", but overall is satisfied with the outcome.
