Owensboro Community and Technical College students unveil their latest project that took two years and a lot of horsepower to make. They displayed their finished 1965 AC Cobra replica at the convention center.

More than 50 students from the school's automotive tech program built the car. The car runs on ethanol and was made with environmentally safer paint.

"We had to take another car apart in order to build this car," said Cobra Project manager Michael Price. "We took an '88 Mustang GT for the engine, transmission, and drivetrain."

The school also announced the creation of a new advanced transportation tech program. It will offer training on alternative fuel vehicle technologies.
