Evansville Police arrest a wanted man after he's reportedly caught with meth.
Officers stopped 37-year-old Jeffery Applegate as he pulled into his driveway in the 1000 block of Henning Avenue early Friday morning.
Officers say Applegate had a suspended license and an active warrant out for his arrest.
When officers searched Applegate's vehicle, they say they found a keychain with keys and a metal container that contained meth. Authorities say Applegate told officers the keychain wasn't his - but one of the keys did unlock the front door of the house.
Applegate was arrested for possession of meth and driving with a suspended license. He was booked into the Vanderburgh County Jail - and later released.
