The investigation continues into a fatal fire this morning in Vanderburgh County.

Thomas Neil Duncan, 54, died in a house fire on Wright Road. Fire officials say it started around 1:30 this morning-- and was well engulfed when crews arrived.
Three others inside the house got out. Vanderburgh County Sheriff Eric Williams say they're unsure who started it, or how it started.

"We have reason to believe the victim may also be the suspect," Williams says. "But that will come through the course of the investigation that's ongoing. As we interview the family members and people that may or may not have had contact with him recently."

An autopsy on Duncan has yet to be done. State Fire Marshals are expected to investigate the cause of the fire.

Crews were called to 7144 Wright Drive just after 1:30 Friday morning.

Firefighters from several departments spent several hours putting out the flames, but they say fighting this fire has not been easy.

We're told firefighters have been running into several issues with water being that there aren't any hydrants nearby. Crews brought in tankers to supply that water.

There were also issues with the water lines breaking down and freezing.
