One Vehicle Crash on Red Bank Rd. Results in Fatality

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says one person has died after an accident on North Red Bank Road. They have released the victims name.

Sheriff's Office officials say 21 year-old Nicholas Quayde was driving his truck at a high speed on Red Bank Rd. when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a tree. Mr. Quayde was taken to a hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The passenger in his vehicle, 20 year-old Alexandrea Wilhite was taken to the hospital for serious bodily injuries. She was later pronounced deceased as a result of her injuries. Deputies say neither occupant was wearing their seat-belts.
The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the crash.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff's Office says one person has died after an accident on North Red Bank Rd near Booker Rd.

The Sheriff's Office officials say around 1:00 this afternoon (Monday 8-11) a truck was traveling at a high rate of speed, causing the driver to lose control and crash head-first into a tree.

Two people inside the truck were taken to Deaconess Hospital where one person later died.

The road was shut down for a about an hour but it is back open at this time.

The identities of the people involved are being withheld at this time.
