Overnight Pursuit Leads to Arrest

He refused to stop when an officer tried to pull him over - leading to a brief chase in Henderson. But now he's behind bars.

A Henderson man is in jail after leading deputies on an overnight pursuit.

The Henderson County Sheriff's Office says Robert Slaughter was riding a motorcycle when a deputy saw him run a stop sign.

When the officer tried to pull Slaughter over, he refused to stop, leading the deputy on a brief chase.

We're told Slaughter lost control of his bike on 8th Street, where he was taken into custody.

Investigators say Slaughter had meth and marijuana on him, and he had two outstanding warrants for his arrest.
He's in the Henderson County Jail facing a long list of charges.
