Overturned Semi Shuts Down Parts of Highway 57 in Gibson County

HAPPENING NOW: Highway 57 is shut down due to an overturned semi hauling coal dirt.
UPDATE (3:35 p.m.): The Gibson County Sheriff's Office says the road is now open to traffic.

PREVIOUS:
Highway 57 is shut down due to an overturned semi hauling coal dirt. The Gibson County Sheriff's Office says 57 is shut down north of Oakland City. Around 9:30 Tuesday morning, we're told the semi was heading northbound when it dropped off the shoulder and flipped several times. Deputies say the driver has been taken to the hospital, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening. Officials have not released a timeline for the road to re-open.
