Person Confirmed with West Nile in Indiana

The first human case of the West Nile virus is now confirmed in the state of Indiana.

Health officials say the person is from Porter County, near Michigan City.
Authorities have already identified West Nile in several pools of mosquitoes.
But, this is the first person to have gotten the sick.
Mosquitoes in 18 counties have tested positive so far this year.
That includes 3 counties  in our area.
Dubois, Pike and Vanderburgh county health officials have been spraying areas where the virus has been found.
Officials say it's important to remember the summer is not over.
More cases could pop up in the next few months.
