Phone Scam Reported in the Tristate

Back in the tristate, a popular scam is resurfacing. This one involves Vectren.
Back in the tri-state, a popular scam is resurfacing. This one involves Vectren.

The utility company says someone is pretending to be them and calling customers threatening their service will be disconnected if they don't make an immediate payment.

Customers are instructed to make that payment by providing data from a prepaid debit card, which would give the thief instant access.

Vectren say this is something it would never do. If you get a call like this, call police.
