Praying for Peace in the Middle East

With the turmoil of the Middle East on the minds of many Tristaters, many gathered Sunday to pray for peace.
Turmoil in the Middle east is on the minds of many in the Tristate.

Christians gathered in prayer Sunday at the Annunciation Parish of Evansville. Faith leaders say the issues in Iraq effect all christians.

"I think that what we have to recognize is that this is not a distant problem. This is not something that we can say, "It's too bad  for those people over there". If we believe what we say, we believe about baptism to say we are part of the body of Christ then we are suffering with them," said Father Alex Zenthoefer.

The parish asks the entire community of faith to continue in prayer in the coming days for peace to come to the Middle East.
