Psychological Evaluation Requested in Sugar Mill Creek Fire Case

Attorneys for the woman accused of burning down an Evansville apartment complex plan to use mental illness as a defense.

They have also asked for a psychological evaluation of Michelle Hershberger to see if she is capable of aiding her own defense.

Hershberger is charged with one count of arson in connection with last month's fire that destroyed one building at the Sugar Mill Creek Apartment Complex.

She remains in jail and is due back in court July 16.
