Red Cross Falls Short of Blood Drive Goal

The Evansville Red Cross holds its quarterly blood drive today but say they fell short of their goal.
The Evansville Red Cross holds its quarterly blood drive today but say they fell short of their goal. The drive was held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Amy Canterbury with the Red Cross says they had hoped for 100 donations. By this evening, they had about half of that number.

"Because of Spring and we've got graduation and the weather is getting warm," said Canterbury, "generally this is the time of year when we have a little trouble with that fulfillment."

If you missed today's drive, the Red Cross encourages you to swing by tomorrow during their business hours and give blood.
