The transformation of the old Owensboro Health Hospital on Parrish Ave. keeps going. Hospital officials say demolition should be done in the next eight months.

Workers are focusing on the south side of the complex now. They're also combining the Primary Care Center with the McAuley Center to provide more services for patients.

"What I think it does is that it expands the resources at McAuley with the other resources on the campus," said Owensboro Health CEO Philip Patterson. "So, providing a continuous space, more exam rooms, more providers."

Patterson says the combined center should be open by this Fall.
