River City Bike Race: Bigger and Better

The 7 mile race around Garvin Park is back, and the winner's purse has grown to $5,000.
The River City Bike Race is back this year and it's bigger than ever before.

Races kicked-off in Evansville at 10:00 Saturday morning with food and live music.
Tin Man Brewing Co. hosted a beer garden at noon.

The bike race route was a 7 mile loop around Garvin Park; with the winner taking home $5,000.

The Franklin Street Association hosted a kick-off party Friday night.

A portion of money raised at the event will go to The Boys and Girls Club of Evansville.
