Semi Overturns in Henderson

An overturned semi will likely affect your morning commute if you drive through Henderson County.
An overturned semi is blocking parts of the Pennyrile Parkway in Henderson County.

Dispatch says the semi flipped over around 3:00 Friday morning, near Exit 78.  Emergency crews are there, along with deputies and other officials.

We know the driver has been taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.  Officials say he was heading northbound and somehow crossed over and hit the southbound guardrail, causing the truck to flip.

We're told the 41 Bypass is blocked off to traffic.  Surrounding roads near the exit are also inaccessible.  Green Street to Exit 78 is also closed, and second street as you pass through the Henderson strip...that first exit is blocked off by deputies.

Crews say these roads are expected to remain closed for at least two hours.  Debris must be cleaned and also it takes a mighty wrecking crew to turn that truck back over.
