Senate Votes to Allow Alcohol at Indiana State Fair

The drink menu at Indiana's State fair could soon include alcohol.
The drink menu at Indiana's State fair could soon include alcohol. A bill passes in the state Senate and now heads to the House for approval.

The bill would lift a 60-year-old ban. Alcohol would be sold in designated 21 and up areas.

Those supporting it say folks should be able to enjoy a beer or a mixed drink at the fair. State Fair officials agree the current law is outdated and say having liquor would not make the fair any less family friendly.
