Sinkhole Swallows Car on North Main

A sinkhole opens up in Evansville , swallowing a car.
UPDATE (5:30 p.m.): The vehicle has been removed from the sinkhole and the driver is not injured. Evansville Police say the driver was sitting at the intersection when the road opened up beneath the vehicle. The sinkhole is about 15 feet wide and 20 feet deep.

The car hit an underground pipe causing a water main break. Crews are looking at the damage right now.

Evansville, IN- A sinkhole has opened up at North Main Street and Oregon, actually swallowing a car.

It's not clear what has caused the sinkhole at this time.
