Smith Millls Volunteer Fire Dept. Vandalized

The Volunteer Fire Department in Henderson was apparently the victim of vandalism.
A Henderson County Volunteer Fire Department is the victim of an apparant vandalism act.

According to a post on the Smith Mills Fire Department Facebook page, someone poured sugar into a generator mounted on the department's first-out engine.

It says with that unit down, crews cannot light-up scenes or use electric tools that are needed in emergency situations.

The department is asking anyone with information to contact the Henderson County Sheriff's Department at (270) 826-2713.
