Softball Splits Double-header with Drake

The Lady Aces overcome Drake in game one, fall short in game two Saturday.
The Lady Aces are starting to get hot on the softball diamond. Junior Kayla Fortner smashed her ninth home run of the year in Evansville's six-run win over the Drake Bulldogs.  Fortner's homer tied the game at two, but freshman Chandra Parr carried more of the load. Parr belted two home runs in the first game and added a triple in game two that also netted her two RBI.
Evansville's split moves the Lady Aces to 16-22 overall on the year and 4-9 in the Missouri Valley Conference.  The Lady Aces and Lady Bulldogs finish up the series Sunday at noon at Cooper Stadium.
