An Evansville man is charged with stealing money at a coins store and it was all caught on surveillance video. It happened Thursday at Classical Coins on N. First Ave.

Surveillance cameras caught 42-year-old Carl McCarty looking at an envelope, which police say had $300,000 in it. You then can see McCarty tuck the envelope in his hoodie, and he later walks out of the store.

The store owner says the envelope of money was left by another customer who had just made a purchase.

Officers arrested McCarty at his home later that day and took him to Vanderburgh County Jail.
