Teen Dies in Vanderburgh County Dune Buggy Accident

The investigation into a fatal dune buggy crash in northern Vanderburgh County is underway.
    The investigation into a fatal dune buggy crash in northern Vanderburgh County is underway.
    Deputies say two people were on a street legal dune buggy around 9:30 Tuesday on private property on Baseline Road.
    An 18-year-old woman from Evansville was killed.
    Investigators say for some unknown reason, the driver, 30 year old Robert Duffy lost control, flipped and crash.
    Taylor Hess was not buckled in properly and she was thrown and trapped under the vehicle.
    The Sheriff's Office say Lifeflight was called, both Hess and Duffy were taken to Deaconess where Hess was pronounced dead.
    Duffy was taken into surgery, we have yet to hear an update on his injuries.
    No roads were closed due to this accident.
    The cause is still under investigation.
