UPDATE: Charges Filed After Teen Dies in Boating Accident

Christopher Payne is facing a boating while intoxicated resulting in death charge after 19 year old Garret Ward died after being caught in a boat propeller.
    Christopher Payne is facing a boating while intoxicated resulting in death charge after 19 year old Garret Ward died after being caught in a boat propeller. Investigators say Ward and some friends had stopped at French Islands and around 6pm Sunday they headed back out on the Ohio River. Officials say Payne started to drive away from the island and Ward got caught in the propeller. Ward's autopsy is set for Monday afternoon, Payne remains in the Spencer County Jail.

        Multiple agencies are investigating a fatal boating accident in Daviess County, Kentucky.
    It happened on the Ohio River at French Island around 6 PM Sunday.
    Dispatchers say they received a call about a man being cut by a boat propeller.
    When emergency crews got to the scene they say the 19-year-old had died from those injuries.
    This is a two state investigation.
    Indiana Conservation Officers and the Daviess County Sheriff's Office have yet to release the victim's name.
