Texting while Driving Leads to Illinois Crash

A driver facing charges after crashing in Illinois. Troopers say he was texting and driving.

It happened just after 1 a.m. south of Grayville. Illinois State Police say a car driven by 22-year-old Seth Schmittler was heading south on Route 1, when it left the road and hit a guardrail.

Schmittler was taken to an Evansville hospital with unknown injuries. He's charged with improper lane usage, and texting while driving.
