 Timeline of events: 
 
February 18, 2012 - Nalakeio Bennett, Jeton Hall, Dezmont Hogan and Antuan Jenkins commit the burglary resulting in bodily injury, criminal confinement and theft in a home invasion. Following a car chase of the defendant (Beumer) and the four men, a collision occurs, resulting in the death of Antuan Jenkins.

February 23, 2012 - Nalakeio Bennett, Dezmont Hogan, Jeton Hall, are charged with Burglary resulting in bodily injury, criminal confinement and theft. All enter preliminary pleas of not guilty.

April 27, 2012 - Eric Weston Dunn is arrested on a Bench Warrant in connection to the burglary. He was arrested while driving away from the scene in a separate car than the one involved in the wreck.

May 18, 2012 -A Grand Jury (made up of 6 Vanderburgh County residents.) Indicts Ira Beumer on Murder, Attempted Murder, and Aggravated Battery - B felony. A bench warrant is issued for Ira Beumer. Mr. Beumer is represented in court by Attorney David Lamont. Mr. Lamont is advised of charges and enters preliminary plea of not guilty.

May 21, 2012 - Mr. Beumer turns himself in to authorities.

May 22, 2012 - $2,500 cash bond is posted for Mr. Beumer. He is released onto ABK Tracking Home Detention. He is allowed to leave for work, church, court, or other court approved activities.

August 19, 2013 - Nalakeio Bennett goes to trial.

August 21, 2013 - Nalakeio Bennett changes his plea of not guilty to guilty as charged (Burglary resulting in Bodily Injury, Criminal Confinement, Theft.). As terms of the agreement, he receives 20 years for his crimes, and another 20 years per a Criminal Gang Enhancement.

September 03, 2013 - Dezmont Hogan pleads guilty as charged (without the gang enhancement) (Burglary resulting in Bodily Injury, Criminal Confinement, Theft.)

October 08, 2013 - Dezmont Hogan is sentenced to 40 years executed in the Indiana Department of Corrections.

December 09, 2013 - Jeton Hall Pleads guilty as charged (without the gang enhancement) (Burglary resulting in Bodily Injury, Criminal Confinement, Theft.)

December 12, 2013 - Eric Weston Dunn pleads guilty to assisting a criminal - C Felony.

January 23, 2013 - Eric Weston Dunn is sentenced to 6 years. Three of which served in the INDOC, three to be served on Probation.

January 29, 2014 - Jeton Hall is sentenced to 40 years to be executed in the Indiana Department of Corrections.

March 17, 2014 - Jury Selection begins on the case of State of Indiana vs. Ira Beumer.
