Trial Date Scheduled for Deadly Franklin St. Fire

The Evansville man charged with setting an apartment fire that killed three people is scheduled to go to trial in October.
The Evansville man charged with setting an apartment fire that killed three people is scheduled to go to trial in October.

Christopher Compton had asked the court for a change of venue. That request will be heard by the court in July.

Investigators say Compton started the fire on W. Franklin St. on March 17. 3-year-old Jazmine Jones, her mother, Keri, and 76-year-old Donald Lankford were killed.
