Officers were sent to the 600 block of Ravenswood Drive around 8:30 for a crisis intervention.
Police say the man they went to check on refused to let them in, and that he may have had a weapon.
Officers worked to stay in contact for 5 hours, and even used the swat team to break out windows, hoping to get his attention.
The man eventually came out and surrendered just after 1 Wednesday morning.
We're told he's been taken to a local hospital for a psychological evaluation.
His name is not being released.
