Uninsured in Kentucky Drops Dramatically

The rate of uninsured Kentuckians has the second sharpest decline in the U.S. since the Affordable Care Act went into effect earlier this year.
The rate of uninsured Kentuckians has declined sharply this year. In fact, it's the second sharpest decline in the U.S. since the Affordable Care Act began in January of 2014.

According to a Gallup poll, Kentucky's uninsured rate dropped from 20.4% in 2013 to 11.9% halfway through 2014. That makes for a 42% decline of uninsured Kentuckians.

Governor Steve Beshear credits the KYNECT website for the success.
Arkansas is the only state with a higher drop in the uninsured than Kentucky.
