UPDATE: Victim Indentified in Roll Over Crash on HWY 41

Officials on scene say the vehicle flipped and rolled down an embankment near Fort Branch.
UPDATE: The victim has been identified as 22 yr old Meghan Elpers of Evansville.

One person is killed and three others are taken to the hospital after a one car crash on Highway 41 in Gibson County.

It happened around 10 last night just south of Fort Branch.

Sheriff's deputies tell us the Ford SUV flipped over and rolled down an embankment.

One of the four passengers was ejected from the vehicle and was later pronounced dead at St. Mary's in Evansville.

Another passenger suffered a minor fracture to the wrist.

The other two passengers in the vehicle were not injured.

The southbound lanes of 41 remained closed for over an hour while crews cleared the scene.

Officials say alcohol was not a factor in this crash.
