USI Gets Past Minnesota Mankato to Advance to Title Game

USI got past a shaky start to rally from a 3-0 deficit to advance to the 2014 Division II CWS Title game.
It wasn't a pretty start but it was a beautiful ending, and that's all that mattered for USI as they rally from a 3-0 deficit to advance to Saturday night's national championship game.
"We're a scrappy team, regardless," says starting pitcher David Toth.  "Any player or coach will say that, I mean we've came down from bigger deficits to pull out a win."
"This is what we've talked about all year," says Caleb Eickhoff.  "You know, we talked to the guys and  there's some banners hanging up at USI on the bleachers and there's a picture down in our gym and we walk by it every day and we crave that feeling. That's what we want."
"You never believe, for one, that we'd get back here," says head coach Tracy Archuleta, who won the Division II CWS in 2010.  "And once it's here I'm just happy for them and they've worked really hard for it. They've talked about what the process was all year and they've been able to obtain it. They're playing for a national championship tomorrow night and, uh, I couldn't be more excited for the city of Evansville, the University of Southern Indiana and our players."
USI will play the University of Colorado Mesa in the Division II National Championship Game Saturday night.
