USI Volleyball Looking for 4th NCAA Trip in Five Years

Lady Screaming Eagles looking to improve on their 2013 record of 24-9.
The USI volleyball team is a program on the rise. The Eagles reached the NCAA Division II tournament three of the past four years, finishing 24-9 in 2013.

Head coach Leah Mercer, an Evansville native and North High graduate, is going into her tenth season at the helm. Mercer played for USI in college and started her coaching career as an assistant at Purdue. Mercer says the team lost only three seniors after last season so they have a solid core of returning players, as well as an exciting class coming in as freshmen for the 2014 season.

USI volleyball plays its first game at home at the PAC on September 5th against the University of North Alabama.
