Vandals Spray Paint Psychedelic Images in Vanderburgh County

In one case nearly the entire side of a house is spray painted with a mushroom, a flower, and the words "shroomy" and "sinc."
"You gotta be some kind of psycho to do this kind of stuff." For Alan Inkenbrandt his morning routine starting like any other.

"I came out to get the paper and I didn't notice this side of the mailbox." It wasn't until later in the day that he noticed a spray painted mushroom on the side of his mailbox with the word "sinc" just below it. Images depicted like these are commonly associated with psychedelic mushrooms. "I don't know what that meant. I have no idea what it means. Only the idiot that did it knows what that means. I have no idea."

Just a short walk down the street Inkenbrandt takes a look at the damage done to his neighbors home. "Oh my gosh...lord look at that." Nearly the entire side of the house is covered with similar pictures. "We got off easy."

The vandals didn't stop there. On both ends of the street stop signs were tagged as well. "I just can't of why they would want to do that silly stuff."

Inkenbrandt put some powerful cleaning supplies on his mailbox and was able to wash a portion of the graffiti off. He plans to install cameras around his house to make sure if something like this happens again he might have a chance to find the vandals. But he says he would rather not have to put up with the hassel of going to such measures in the first place. "It's expensive. It's just something you have to do. Nowadays it's just common sense you have to have them because there's too many idiots out there."

Inkenbrandt says he thinks the vandals are probably bored kids looking for fun, but even so he says the damage is still aggravating. At this time there are no suspects.
