Indiana Department of Transportation is waiting for power before it can turn on the lights at University Parkway and Highway 66.

Eyewitness News has been following the story about the state's effort to install street lights at the intersection. The poles and fixtures have been up for a while, but the lights have never been turned on.

An INDOT spokesperson says the state is waiting for Vectren to run power to the poles. Vectren says it just received all the information it needed from INDOT, and it could turn the lights on as early as next week.
