Vectren bills may worsen before getting better.
Vectren spokesperson Chase Kelley said the prolonged cold weather has made it difficult for the company to read some meters. She said some bills were estimated last month and when the company actually reads the meter, the bills may jump again.
Kelley said this February was twenty percent colder than average. She suggests turning the temperature down to 68 degrees to save money. She said every degree lower can save one to three percent.
