Volunteers Give a Helping Hand Landscaping Tristate Park

Local volunteer Norbert Niemeier took it upon himself to spruce it up. He had others helping him like the mayor's wife.

They laid down a lot of mulch and pulled out weeds. The goal is to get it ready for big crowds on the fourth of July.

"It takes a lot. This Parks Dept. only has so many people to do what they do and every volunteer out here we have helps the City of Evansville makes things look nice."

In the fall, Mr. Niemeier donated 1,500 lilies from Holland to Sunset Park.
