The plan to relocate several Evansville war monuments to one location has hit a snag, stemming from health problems and the need for more paperwork.
The plan to relocate several Evansville war monuments to one location has hit a snag, stemming from health problems and the need for more paperwork.

The plan was to move Old Courthouse and Post Office monuments to the riverfront. Vanderburgh County Commissioner Steve Melcher expected that to happen earlier this month.

Jerry Blake with VFW Post 114 says a planned surgery has pushed back the process of getting a permit. Also, a local architecture firm is working on the plans that will be presented before the Area Plan Commission.
