Water Search Continues For Man Who Jumped Off Twin Bridges

Search crews returned to the Ohio River Sunday morning to look for the man who jumped off the Twin Bridges last weekend.

Search crews returned to the Ohio River Sunday morning to look for the man who jumped off the Twin Bridges last weekend.

A visual search has been ongoing, but Sunday marked the first time crews returned the water since last week. Officials said the water dropped 18 to 20 feet in that time frame. The lower level makes it easier for crews to search visually along the shore and use side-scan sonar.

Bryant Woodard, chief of the Henderson City/County Rescue Squad, said based on previous experience, he believes the body is still in the area, but the cold water is preventing it from surfacing.

Woodard said he isn’t sure if they’ll have crews on the water again, but a visual search will be ongoing.
