A local radio station is taking on childhood cancer. WBKR is holding its 11th Annual St. Jude's Radiothon today and tomorrow.

Our Kara Kirtley helped answer phone calls with donations early this afternoon.

The money helps the hospital continue to take care of children diagnosed with cancer free of charge.

The DJ's at WBKR say these are their favorite two days to work out of the year.

"To be able to be a tiny part of what St. Jude does," said Jaclyn Graves, "it makes every bit of difference. There's so much bad out there. But when you look at St. Jude, it really does save children's lives. That's what they do. They've been doing it for over 50 years, and they'll continue to do that."

Wayne Hart is scheduled to help out the radiothon tomorrow.
