Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office arrested Maria Stevens on charges of Operating a Motor Vehicle while Intoxicated causing Death.

The arrest comes after the crash on June 15 at New Harmony Road just west of Koressel Road.
Authorities originally thought Ronald Boback, who died in the crash, was the driver of the vehicle.

Investigators found that Stevens had a 0.12 blood alcohol content. Stevens has been taken into custody at the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center and remains there until her initial court appearance.
